Adams impressed with young Harinath's debut
CHRIS Adams has praised Arun Harinath for his first performance for the Brown Caps.
The Surrey cricket manager was pleased with the young batsman who made 18 and 44 on debut against Gloucesterhire.
Adams said: "In Arun I saw a young manwho looked very compact and happy to spend time at the crease.
"He left the ball well, made good contact with the ball and he got himself in a good position. He will be disappointed that he didn't kick on and get a first 50 and a big score, but it's out of the way."

Adams added that he was pleased with the players attitude, who has imprssed with some impressive performances is the county's youth teams and second XI.
"The debut's big, it always is, but he looks like somebody who's got a platform to move forward and he's a lad who has come through the system," he added.
"All this talk about Surrey are not producing and developing cricketers is nonsense.
"In this game alone we had Harinath, Jade Dernbach and Stuart Meaker. They've all come through the system and all have the chance of long careers in the game, subject to their desire and their ability to work hard."
