Ashtead Independents former leader dies
THE former leader of the Ashtead Independents David Howell has died.
Councillors were informed of the news yesterday (Wednesday), less than a week after Mr Howell stepped down from Mole Valley District Council at last Thursday’s elections.

Mr Howell suffered a heart attack and could not be revived.
The council is preparing a statement.
