Banstead 2

Molesey 3

Banstead were just getting to grips with the game against a side going well in the division when Molesey went 3-1 up to put the game beyond their reach.

The visitors had the ball in the net early on, but there was a foul on the keeper. Molesey found room to cause the As problems.

Prendergast starting for the first time for a while and found Patterson-Bohner with a well timed pass which earned a corner.

Patterson-Bohner, from a pass from Johns, drew a good save from the keeper.

But Molesey struck on 16 minutes from a corner taken by McShane and Rob Lewis headed powerfully into the net. Another effort went wide soon after.

Prendergast set up Patterson- Bohner to level on 22 minutes.

Then on 39 minutes Molesey were ahead again after some determination from Tawonezvi, who got off the ground, took the ball on and unleashed a curling shot through a crowd of players into the net.

Banstead made a substitution in the second half with Danny Lawrence coming on for Dean Sammut.

Patterson-Bohner had another effort saved and just as Banstead were thinking they might earn a point Molesey scored their third, through Lewis Ackerman.

On 80 minutes Ross White replaced Prendergast. He quickly made an impression, helping to put Banstead back to 3-2 down but with only a few minutes left.

A good effort from Ross Chalke was pushed over the bar.
