If you're one for bursting into song alongside big film numbers then get your voice limbered up for Sing-a-long-a-Hairspray.

The Harlequin Theatre, Redhill, is screening the 2007 hit film starring John Travolta as Edna Turnblad, with on-screen lyrics, so everyone can join in.

It's Baltimore in 1962 – what better time and place for big-hearted Tracy Turnblad to indulge her passion for Dancing – and you can get in on the action too. Dance in the aisles, boo Velma and be amazed at Travolta's fat suit.

Belt out songs from the show such as Good Morning Baltimore, I Can Hear The Bells, Welcome To The Sixties and You Can't Stop The Beat.

Everyone receives a free goody bag with special props and there's a fancy dress competition – so get those nylon numbers ready, whatever your age.

Sing-a-long-a-Hairspray, The Harlequin Theatre, Redhill, Wednesday, March 10, 7.30pm, £14.50 (£11), 01737 276500, www.harlequintheatre.co.uk
