Banstead skipper Jak Martin says his side are not doing a lot wrong and expects results will start coming for the Premier Division's new boys.
The club slipped to their third defeat in a row at the hands of Sunbury, but Martin is happy with the way his side are playing.
He said: "It was especially disappointing to lose as it was the second week in a row we have narrowly missed out on a win.
"But we are putting in some decent performances so I'm not too worried as I'm sure we'll start to get over the final line soon."
On Saturday Sunbury elected to have first use of the pitch in what seemed good batting conditions.
The decision was vindicated as after losing James Kuiper who was bowled by Richard Bedbrook for 17, Gavin Spencer (110) and Adam London (103 no) laid the foundations for a commanding score.
Spinner Dan Gale picked up two wickets, but bowled his 10 overs reasonably expensively going for 62.
"I was quite happy that we kept them down to 277 as I thought it was a 280 pitch so we were well in the game at the half way stage," added Martin.
"In reply we just lost wickets at crucial times and if we could just have had one big partnership I think we would get over the line.
"That said it was nice to see Sam [Woodward] back in a bit of form, unfortunately his work commitments mean he won't be available for the next couple of weeks which will be a blow."
Woodward top scored with an unbeaten 71 while there was half centuries for Martin and Rory Burns. However, some impressive bowling from Oliver Roland-Jones meant Sunbury held on for the win.
This weekend Banstead host Guildford and Martin says his side will stick to their principles.
He said: "I'm very confident going into the game. If we can keep our performance levels like they have been we should have a good chance."
