Dog walkers are being invited to join the fight against crime.

A new initiative is being launched to encourage them to report any suspicious or anti-social behaviour.

The scheme – which will act like a neighbourhood watch – is supported by Tandridge Community Safety Partnership.

It will be launched next Sunday during an open day at the RSPCA Centre in South Godstone.

Elaine Burtenshaw, Tandridge Neighbourhood Inspector, said: "We are not asking people to put themselves at risk – we are asking them to report any suspicious or anti-social behaviour to reduce crime in the district."
