Cats struggling to make progress
Fullers County League 2nd XI Division One
Caterham 196-9
Old Tiffinians 197-4
CATERHAM were again left feeling second best. Despite knocks of 47 from Parrett and 51 from Dinmore, it was the 48 extras bowled by an erratic Old Tiffs bowling line up that helped Caterham to post a respectable innings.
On another Park Avenue Playing Fields shirt front however, this total proved to be too little.
With a couple of early breakthroughs from Mico (3-45) Caterham were confident that they could run through the Old Tiff's batting line up.
Tahir (80no) and Smith (38no) had other ideas however as they both batted skilfully and patiently to take the game away from Caterham and record a victory with two overs remaining.
This was a disappointing result for Caterham's second team and they will hope that they can bounce back this Saturday.
Surrey Championship
3rd XI Division Two
Caterham 127
Addiscombe 127-1
CATERHAM were sadly, smashed again. Despite knocks of 39 from Dilley and a club best 29 not out from Fuller, Caterham's 127 was always likely to be too small against a strong Addiscombe line up.
This was soon proved as the Addiscombe batsmen quickly knocked the runs off for the loss of just one wicket.
Skipper House was happy to see the threes post a decent total of 127 but feels that more work must be done to restrict the opposition from scoring quite as easily as they do.
