VISITORS Teddington had won every league game this season and despite Chipstead's best efforts the hosts were unable to break that record.
Top of the table Teddington missed an early penalty but then took control.
However, it took them 30 minutes before they got on to the score board with a well worked try under the posts with the resultant conversion being slotted.
Further points were added five minutes later with a try in the corner, which went unconverted.
To round matters off, Chipstead conceded a third try just before half-time.
The second half saw a much improved performance from the home side.
Chipstead were camped in the opposition's half for most of the remaining 40 minutes and despite some strong attacking play were not able to get a score.
Teddington were well drilled and defended well and look certain to win the league.
