Back in September 2011, Surrey Markets Ltd, who are in charge of the Farmers' Market, said that trade had dramatically fallen as soon as the roadworks began. After four successful years, the last market took place on the Leg O'Mutton field in Downside Road Cobham and moved to Dorking. Now, it's back and its location has now changed to the more central Hollyhedge Road which means that Cobham businesses, who also suffered as a result of the roadworks, should benefit from the increased footfall.

Carolyne Taylor, co-director of Surrey Markets Ltd, which runs the event, said: "I am very excited at the prospect of returning to Cobham.

"We were forced to leave because of the roadworks associated with the new service station on the M25 but we always said we would return and we are.

"Our stallholders are looking forward to returning and meeting old customers and making new friends. We love the idea of bringing local traders, selling local produce to local people."
