Dorking and Bookham's Tuesday night woes
DORKING'S promotion hopes took a severe blow on Tuesday evening as they surrendered to a heavy home defeat by Farnham Town in Combined Counties League Division One.
A dreadful start to the match saw the visitors two ahead after 20 minutes. Dorking were simply not at the races but the in-form Phil Page pulled a goal back from a fee-kick, before Farnham made it 3-1.
Adrian Butler's cross flew straight into the net just before half-time to make it 3-2 at the interval.
However, any hopes of a Chicks revival were short lived as Farnham scored on again on the hour mark to make it 4-2.
Two further goals for the visitors as Dorking chased the game and a consolation for Page left the final score 6-3
In the Premier Division Dorking's tenants Bookham also suffered a miserable evening going down 3-2 at Badshot Lea despite dominating for large periods.
Bookham went ahead early on but wasted several chances to double their advantage and went into the break all square at 1-1.
Glyn Mandeville's side regained the lead early into the second half, but Badshot started to get a hold of the game and scored twice in the last half an hour.
