Dorking Football Club suffers another break-in
THIEVES broke in to Dorking Football Club's ground for the third time in the last year.
It happened in the early hours of Saturday morning. A spokesman for the club said the culprits tried to steal money from a till and other items from the clubhouse.
The break-in comes just four months after the last incident, when the Meadowbank ground was targeted by louts who smashed dugouts, destroyed advertising hoardings, broke glass bottles and emptied rubbish bins onto the pitch.
UPDATE: A 22-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident. He has been released on bail and will appear at Redhill Magistrates' Court on June 15.
