HORLEY Town made Dorking pay for failing to take advantage of their superiority in Saturday's FA Cup extra preliminary round by stepping up their performance in Tuesday night's replay.

Despite a good spell of pressure before half time which saw good saves deny Phil Page and Adie Butler, two first half goals by Horley gave the Chicks a difficult task to get back into the match at the interval, and a third on the hour mark secured the win for the hosts.

Horley now travel to Ryman League side Sittingbourne for the first qualifying round on August 29, while Dorking will entertain North Greenford Utd on that day in a league game.

North Greenford were knocked out of the FA Cup on Saturday in a surprise 2-0 home defeat by Cockfosters.

Elsewhere, Cobham completed their safe passage through to the next round of the FA Cup with a 2-1 home win over Littlehampton.

They will now go on to play VT, of the Southern League, at home in the preliminary round on Saturday August 29.
