Dorkinians experienced their first defeat of the season when they were beaten by strong Southern Amateur League opposition.

The Dorkinians did not make the best of starts, falling behind in the second minute.

Thereafter, the Dorkinians side settled down to create enough chances to cause IBIS to realise that they might have a tough tie in prospect.

With keeper James Whitmarsh in his best form of the season, the Dorkinians kept a hold on the match and deservedly drew level on the half hour.

Lee Andrew Jepson and Connor Mottram's intelligent approach play was completed by Matt Morley driving in from the edge of the box.

The visitors had the misfortune to repeat the start of the tie early in the second half when they again conceded the lead.

Despite their strenuous efforts to force the tie into possible extra time, an IBIS corner eight minutes from the end produced a classic own goal by the unlucky Morley who directed a header into the far post top corner in his attempt to clear.
