Dorkinians almost became the first team to defeat Pegasus in 25 attempts at the weekend.

The visitors' incredible unbeaten run began at the start of last season and has continued this, but the hosts came very close to ending all that.

In the end though, both sides had to settle for a point.

The early home pressure eventually told when James Neville crossed for Chris Thurgood to net for his first senior goal.

It was a rare defensive error that cost them the lead on 35 minutes when a loose ball was seized upon and the visitors scored with a 20-yard effort.

Dorkinians continued to press in the second half and Toby Allenoski, Tom Neville and Thurgood all had chances to win the game in the last 15 minutes, but the away team held on to go another game without defeat.

The Reserves lost for the first time this season when they went down 3-2 away to Glynn Old Boys Reserves in Division 3 (South). Matt Cannon and Liam Nugent scored the goals.
