POLICE stormed two blocks of flats in an early morning drugs raid.

More than 25 officers descended on Court Lodge estate, Horley, breaking into two properties shortly before 7.30am on Thursday, April 29.

Nine vehicles were used, including a dog section and CID units, as the officers arrived with two warrants for misuse of drugs.

Operation Guadalupe was carried out after reports of antisocial behaviour were reported to the neighbourhood safety team.

The Post joined operation leader Sergeant Simon Ward on site.

No immediate arrests were made but evidence of Class A substances were discovered at both addresses.

Sergeant Ward said: "Drugs destroy communities and we will not tolerate anyone using illegal substances in our neighbourhoods."

Almost two years ago, the same estate was targeted by police in Operation Kingbird.

In that operation 200 officers dismantled a network of suspected drug dealers and recovered thousands of pounds' worth of Class A drugs in May 2008.
