The Olympic Torch will pass through Godalming on July 20. This free business event, organised by Waverley Borough Council and Waverley Business Forum, will provide information about how the relay will be managed; how to make the most of visitors and ensure businesses do not grind to a halt; and the rules that apply to Olympic branding and the use of logos. There will also be the potential to discuss contracts and business opportunities beyond 2012.

Seamus Grealish, Chair of the Waverley Business Forum, says, "It's great news for local businesses that the Olympic Torch is coming to Godalming, and we hope that the seminar on 31 May will give businesses all the information they need to make the most of the opportunities it will bring."
