LAW-ABIDING people in Leatherhead are being urged to help in the battle against London-based drug dealers.

Many drug dealers and traffickers operating in the area originate from outside Leatherhead, and London gangs often use homes in the town as safe houses.

A recent report by Mole Valley Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership has identified drug dealing linked to cross-border crime as a key priority for the area's policing – and residents have been called on to do their bit.
