Fullers Surrey County One

Staines & Laleham 235-8

Horley 209-9

Only one of the hosts' top five failed to make a significant score as they rattled up a resounding 235-8 from just 46 overs.

Evans (39) and Stevens (53) enjoyed a century opening partnership that was built on by Smith (26) and Nannaray (48).

For Horley Depal Ahangama took 4-62 and there were two wickets each for Ashley Yeo and the unlikely Fizal Nadir.

In reply Horley were reduced to 8-3 as Coutzee ripped through the top of the visitors' innings.

Enter Chris Allen. The elegant, tall right hander was to bring about a change of fortunes for Horley as they fought back from their early demise.

A partnership of 82 between Allen (104no) and Paul Kirkham (31) allowed the visitors a platform for an unlikely success. Matt Lee and Jitu Chudasama offered some assistance to Allen as he batted on gamely for a well-deserved hundred.

For the hosts Coutzee returned and Horley were reduced to 195-9 before Yeo and Allen dug in for four overs to achieve a losing draw.
