Horley school pupils brave weather for Walk It Wednesday
PUPILS from two Horley schools braved the wet and windy weather last month to mark the launch of Walk It Wednesday.
Children from Horley Infant School, in Lumley Road, and Yattendon School, in Oakwood Road, persuaded their parents to leave their cars at home, and walk, bike or scoot to school.
The initiative has been introduced to help alleviate school traffic congestion in Oakwood, Lumley and Albert Roads at the busy drop off and collection times.
Each school will be running its own competition where the class with the highest percentage of walkers at the end of the summer term will win a prize.
