JONATHAN Wileman put in a man of the match performance as Horley thrashed the league's bottom side Long Ditton by 10 wickets.

All rounder Wileman took four wickets and smashed 54 not out to record a victory achieved inside 35 overs of the scheduled 95.

Manjeet Rajput took the new ball and his swing and seam bowling accounted for 5-19 of the hosts slender 54 run total.

Horley took eight catches with the hosts unable to cope with the dampish conditions after they had decided to bat first having won the toss.

With the experience of Wileman who took 4-29 the Long Ditton innings was concluded in the 27th over.

After a 10 minute turn around prior to the tea interval Horley completed their comprehensive victory inside nine overs, Wileman smashing a six and eight boundaries in his superbly made half century.

Horley's second XI took maximum bonus points from their tight draw against Old Tiffinians in their Fullers League Division Two clash.

Tiffinians batted first and made a competitive 220 all out in the first innings but at stumps Horley were 19 short stranded on 201-9.

Lewis Forsdick (4-28) and Matt Lee (3-61) were Horley's leading bowlers although Deepal Ahangama (2) and Matt Ware (1) were also successful.

In the run chase everyone chipped in but no one could play a match winning innings and the team had to settle for a draw.

On Sunday the club's first XI thrashed Chipstead. Batting first Horley made 172 all out but Chipstead could only make 107.

Glenn Rodgers made 74 for Horley while Sterling took an impressive 6-19.

In Chipstead's innings Richard Stevens starred taking four wickets and Rodgers took two.

The Sunday second XI slumped to a 40 run defeat against Lingfield. The hosts made 217-7 and in reply Horley could only muster 177 all out.
