Impressionist Alistair McGowan kicks of his first solo stand-up tour in 10 years with a date at Epsom Playhouse on Thursday, July 9.

McGowan will be resurrecting his legendary celebrity impressions and introducing new never-before-heard voices.

However, he is more than impersonator ­ expect sharp observations, poetry and romance, animals and surrealism, love and anger, wordplay as well as footballers and film stars.

Although best known for the BAFTA winning The Big Impression, McGowan is also an acclaimed theatre actor.

A passionate campaigner for a number of environmental issues, he serves as an ambassador for WWF-UK.

This year he will also be releasing a new book, premiering a play and in May his film, My Life In ruins, was released in the US.
