Residents are encouraged to live life the way they want to and they play a big part in shaping the service on offer at the home. People are not expected to give up their independence when they come to the home and they often keep up an active role in the community.
Residents all live in attractive apartments or suites . All of the apartments come fully equipped, are at least 33m square and have a kitchen/dining area a wet room and a living space.
The suites are at least 18m square and have an en-suite bathroom or wet room. Residents can choose to decorate and furnish their apartments and suites from a range of colour schemes, or they can bring their own belongings for that extra homely touch.
The communal areas are beautifully furnished and feature open fire places, large dining rooms and a refreshments bar which is open 24 hours a day.
There is also a hairdressing salon, library area, games room and a computer room with Skype to keep residents busy.
Residents are encouraged to enjoy the great outdoors too, especially as there are wonderful views of the surrounding countryside from the home. There is a garden, patio and children's play area at the home. Venturing into the village of Holmbury St Mary, residents can take a stroll to the duck pond, pretty church, village hall and several fine pubs. There are many activities on offer for residents who are encouraged to come up with their own ideas for entertainment. They often enjoy exercise classes, weekly movies, baking, garden fetes and canal boat trips.
