DORKINIANS were left wondering where the referee got eight minutes of injury time as their hosts took advantage for an unlikely win.

The away side cruised into a two-goal lead, after originally coming from behind, and were heading for the next round, until amazingly eight minutes of injury time were added and their hosts pulled themselves back into it.

Manorians took an early lead in the sixth minute, but nine minutes later the scores were level when James Dickinson and Toby Allenoski combined to set up Matt Morley to score.

The hosts again took the lead but the visitors equalised on 60 minutes when Connor Mottram headed home a Morley free kick and within five minutes they were ahead for the first time when Allenoski converted a Mottram centre.

Dorkinians opened up a two-goal cushion when Chris Thurgood netted before that controversial added time.

Manorians reduced the deficit and with the final kick, they scored the equaliser.

A seesaw encounter swung back to the hosts in the first minute of extra time.

Dorkinians again responded quickly through Dickinson, but four minutes before penalties, the home side struck the fatal blow.

Dorkinians: Whitmarsh, Tanner, Read, Knight, Dickenson, Morley, Allenoski, Hodgson, Neville, Thurgood, Mottram.

The reserves were involved in an exciting Combination League fixture at Pixham Lane against the Royal Bank of Scotland Reserves, whose unbeaten record at the end of last season gained them promotion.

The Dorkinians fought back three times to draw level at 3-3 with goals from Liam Nugent (2) and Andy Wills, but were indebted to gain a point through a spectacular penalty save by keeper Gavin Morrison eight minutes from the end.
