Kate takes on a huge challenge for wildlife

A FUNDRAISER for Wildlife Aid has organised a summer bazaar to raise money for the charity.

Kate Woods, a PR consultant from Dorking, has been given the job of raising £10,000 for the wildlife charity as one of its ambassadors.

She described the task as a "tall order" but said her love of the charity has spurred her on to reach the target.

"When I came to the hospital, I just loved the work they did here and that makes it all worthwhile," she said.

Speaking of her campaign to raise the £10,000, the charity's founder, Simon Cowell, added: "It is just the most stunning effort."

As part of her efforts she has organised a "wildlife bazaar" at Shere Village Hall on Monday, August 30.

The day, which has a 50p entry fee, includes cakes, teas, ice creams, candy floss, jams, tombola, plants, and jewellery for sale.

There will also be outdoor activities, including beat the goalkeeper, hook the duck and hoop the bottle.

Parking is available behind the village hall.
