Woking 2A 3
OXTED secured promotion with three games to go after a fight back in the final seconds, which saw Alison Langham scoring her second successive hat-trick.
With Oxted on the back foot it was time for Charlie Spencer, Kirsty Hunte and Mary Greenham to again shine in defence.
And it was Oxted who struck first on the break with Dawn Tarrier providing the cross which Langham picked up off the keeper's pads. Woking threw everything at Oxted but failed to pick up Laura Tarrier as she drove towards the D her shot was saved but again Langham reacted first to the loose ball for a 2-0 lead.
Just before half-time Woking gained a foothold in the game as a firmly struck free-hit was deflected goalbound giving the keeper no chance to save.
The second half saw Woking gain control as they equalised early in the half.
Oxted looked to be holding on for their promotion point and even managed a foray forward only for MacKay's shot to be blocked and Tarrier's shot to go wide from the resulting corner.
With four minutes remaining Woking won a short corner and scored to take a 3-2 lead.
It looked as if Oxted would have to wait for promotion until, with 15 seconds left, MacKay slid the ball to the edge of the D, Langham met the ball with a first time shot which beat the keeper at the near post and Oxted could celebrate promotion.
This weekend Oxted take on Tulse Hill at Oxted School at 10.30am seeking to confirm the league title.
