Man in hospital after being attacked in Redhill town centre

A SERIOUS assault in Redhill has left a man in hospital.
The victim, a man in his forties, was left with serious head injuries following an assault in Marketfield Car Park, Marketfield Road, behind The Abbot public house, at around 3pm yesterday (Tuesday).
Three men and one woman have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody.

A section of Marketfield Car Park was cordoned off while enquiries continued and the scene was forensically examined.
Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses and say their Safer Neighbourhood Team officers will be supporting detectives in the ongoing investigation and will increase patrols in reaction to any ongoing community concerns.
A spokesman for Surrey Police said: "Anyone who was in Redhill town centre who may have witnessed the incident or the events leading up to it is being urged to get in touch with Surrey Police. Any information could prove vital to this ongoing investigation."
