Man jailed for four years for Reigate beauty salon knife attack
A JEALOUS boyfriend who attacked his partner with a kitchen knife at a Reigate beauty salon has been jailed for four years.
Julian Hickman was sentenced at Guildford Crown Court on Friday for wounding Donna Bogle with intent to cause her grievous bodily harm and assaulting her daughter, Charlene Campbell, as she tried to intervene.
The attack came less than 12 months after Hickman and Miss Bogle began their relationship, but the court heard she had continued to see him since.
Prosecuting, Kerry Nutting said Hickman, 41, had a drink problem and had become obsessive, accusing Miss Bogle of being unfaithful.

On January 6 this year, she was scared during a series of phone calls.
At 10.30am the next day, he appeared outside the nail bar in Cockshot Road, Reigate, where the two women work, pulled out a four-inch kitchen knife and told his victim he was going to kill her.
"She ran into the shop and tried to close the door but he was too strong," said Miss Nutting. "He jumped on top of her, knocking her to the floor.
"He was punching her and hitting her and cutting her with the knife. She shouted to her daughter to help.
"Her daughter tried to get him off and in the process received a small cut to her foot."
Hickman stabbed Miss Bogle in the thigh and in the neck, until the knife hit the floor and broke.
Mitigating, Adrienne Knight said the injuries had been superficial, and Hickman, formerly of The Dell, Tadworth, was filled with remorse.
