MOLE VALLEY SCR will go into their crucial return clash with Dorking on Saturday still hanging on at the top of the table after an unpredictable weekend of results in Combined Counties Division One.

SCR did their part on Saturday with a 2-1 win at mid-table Feltham. A Kris Barry strike after 22 minutes put SCR ahead before the home side levelled through Berringer.

However Darren Salmon's side got the win they need when Jay Holden converted a penalty just after the hour mark.

Mole Valley had no game on the Monday and knew that both Staines Lammas and Hanworth Villa could have over taken them at the top. But, both sides slumped to unexpected defeats to leave the Fetcham-based SCR top of the table as the season approached its climax.

The game with Dorking on Saturday kicks off at Meadowbank at 3pm.
