Dorkinians moved into the next round of the Surrey/Kent Senior Cup after surviving a scare against Tiffinians, who put up dogged resistance.

The visitors took advantage of the wind in the first half and within eight minutes their astute approach built them a two goal lead.

Skilful approach play from Matt Morley gave the unmarked Tom Neville the opportunity to run through to drive in wide of the keeper and then Chris Thurgood crossed for Morley to place a header into the top corner.

Tiffs reduced the deficit in the 19th minute but eight minutes before the break Dorkinians restored their two goal cushion. Duncan Hodgson found James Dickenson out on the right and his return was driven in by Toby Allenoski.

Within a minute, Tiffs reduced the deficit, but the second half was goalless as Dorkinians held on for a memorable victory.
