A motorcyclist has been seriously injured following a collision on the A24 Leatherhead bypass.

The accident happened between the Givons Grove roundabout heading northbound towards the Knoll roundabout at around 12.25pm today.

It is believed a lone motorcyclist collided with a white van and was still being treated by paramedics when the Advertiser arrived on scene.

Police and an air ambulance were called and road closures and traffic diversions were put in place at 12.45pm.

It is yet unknown when the road will re-open.
