Museum open for visitors
Surrey's proud cricket tradition is celebrated at the new Galadari Museum at the Kia Oval, which opened on Wednesday.
And appropriately, Micky Stewart was on hand to do the honours.
The new museum is on the first floor of the ground's Victorian Members' Pavilion. It features memorabilia and antiquest, as well as replicas of the trophies the county has won down the years.
Among the attractions on display are three caps won by legendary player Sir Alec Bedser.
Stewart was a great friend of Sir Alec, and donated the caps. The oldest was the one given to him on his Test Match debut at Lord's in 1946.
The Galadari Museum will now play host to the ICC Hall of Fame Cap that Sir Alec received in 2009.
The museum has been renovated with the support of Mr M.A.R. Galadari, a lifelong fan of the game who has watched Surrey for nearly 40 years.
Speaking at the museum opening, Surrey Chief Executive Richard Gould said: "The new Galadari Museum is an excellent addition to our Members' Pavilion. "Surrey is one of the most historic cricket clubs in the world and its great past deserves a stylish and well visited museum. We are extremely grateful to Mr. Galadari, a true friend of Surrey County Cricket Club, for enabling us to make this a reality."
