New Robins come to roost at Carshalton Athletic
Carshalton Athletic boss Paul Dipre has revealed several new signings before the start of pre-season for the 2012/13 Ryman Premier League campaign, writes James Barrett.
The fresh faces will provide new blood in many different areas throughout the squad and include a returning loanee and a goalscoring winger.
Dipre has been successful in attracting Cray Wanderers winger Jack Clark, who scored 16 goals last term, and he has also signed two Woking forwards - Ola Sogbanmu, who enjoyed a successful loan spell with The Robins at the end of last season and the experienced Wayne Gray, who has played in the Premier League with Wimbledon, plus Southend and Brighton during his career.
Two new midfielders will bolster Dipre's options in the middle of the park as Cambridge United's Ashley Carew and Joe Benjiman from Tonbridge Angels put pen to paper. Goalkeeper Darren Behcet has become the latest signing, who has played with Tooting and Mitcham United and AFC Hornchurch.

"I am pleased with this progress and there are still a few discussions with other players going on which will be concluded soon. But, apart from keeping an eye on a couple of players who become available in July, there wont be many more additions," said Dipre.
"Combined with the core of last year's squad, I think we are getting a good balance to put in a serious challenge next season and I am confident that we will be up there come April.
