Oxted & District 1 Tongham 1

This was a hard fought draw for Oxted on a hot afternoon at Master Park.

Supported with a large crowd in excess of 100, the teams had scrappy match on a rock hard pitch.

Oxted, for the second week running, enjoyed the bulk of the possession but were frustrated in front of goal by a young and lively Tongham side.

The hosts did find the net in the first period only for the goal to be ruled out to the dismay of the scorer Ian Pearce.

Tongham broke the deadlock in the 60th minute with a well-worked goal, but the Os soon drew level with a fine strike from Pearce.

Oxted looked the more likely winners but again were frustrated with their second goal ruled out and further chances went begging as Oxted pressed for the winner.
