Surrey Elite League

Horsley 2 Oxted & District 0

This was a disappointing result for Oxted who were poor in possession and invited pressure from Horsley.

From a Horsley attack a free-kick was given away outside the box, the Horsley player curling the ball around the wall into the back of the net.

Oxted got back into the match making slightly better use of the ball but failing to create many clear-cut chances, and not asking any real questions of the keeper.

Oxted started the second half with some real direction and created some good chances, but could not find the goal they badly needed. After the hour they gave away another free-kick that was crossed in for an unmarked Horsley player to head their second goal.

Oxted tried to get back winning numerous corners but, much to their frustration, could not convert any of chances and in the closing stages lost Luke Harrison to a straight red card.
