DORKING took local bragging rights and a huge fillip in their quest for promotion to Combined Counties League Premier One with a 1-0 win at Mole Valley SCR on Tuesday evening.

The result was the third defeat in three games for the previously unstoppable SCR side, and they will probably now have to win their final four games to secure promotion from division one.

It was Dorking's deadly striker Phil Page who settled the game, scoring on the 75th minute to break the deadlock in what had been a fiercely contested local derby.

Both side have huge games over the Easter weekend. Dorking host second placed Hanworth Villa at Meadowbank, while SCr will look to get back to winning ways at Feltham.
