Police search for woman, 73, missing from Tandridge

POLICE in Tandridge are concerned for the safety of a 73-year-old woman who has been missing from her home in Bletchingley since yesterday afternoon (Monday).

Valerie Frost was last seen catching a bus from the junction between Rabies Heath Road and the A25 at about 1.30pm.

She is described as white, about 5ft 7ins, of average build with a pale complexion and straight blonde hair in a bob.

Valerie is believed to have a black leather handbag with her, which is described as having a zip fastening with a shoulder strap, and is thought to be wearing a green enamel pendant on a silver chain, with a centre stone about the size of a 10p and surrounded by six smaller stones.

Police described Valerie as being extremely vulnerable and requiring regular medication, and said they are keen to find her as soon as possible.

Officers have searched the local area extensively, as well as looking in areas of Waterlooville and Portsmouth Valerie is familiar with.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts, or who has seen a woman matching her description, is asked to contact Surrey Police on 10, quoting reference M/12/99.
