Reigate Priory hope to take the law into their own hands
Reigate Priory are preparing for one of the biggest days in their history as they head to the finals of Cockspur Rum National Club Twenty20.
Next Monday, the Llamas, will face-off against Bournemouth, Ockbrook & Borrowash and Cuckney at Derbyshire's County Ground.
The event, due to be televised live on Sky Sports, will see two semi-finals with the winners playing each other under floodlights in the competitions grand final.
The overall winners will win an all expenses paid trip to the Caribbean where they will represent England in an interantional competition.
Reigate Priory, who are sponsored by local law firm TWM Solicitors, first overcame Dorking, Sutton and Wimbledon to reach the final of the Surrey Championship, in which they beat Stoke d'Abernon by 61 runs before conquering both Bromley and Chingford to take the regional title.
By successfully chasing Chingford's score of 194 the Llamas qualified for the national stages of the tournament.
They reached the final day at Derby in some style, achieving a crushing eight-wicket victory over Henley in front of a crowd of more than 500 spectators.
Club president Andy Packham said: "These are certainly exciting times for everyone involved with Reigate Priory Cricket Club"
Howard House, Senior Principal of TWM Solicitors commented "We have been involved with Reigate Priory Cricket Club for a number of years and have been delighted with the success they have achieved this season.
"As a local firm it is important for us to be involved with the local community and we wish all the players good luck for this important game."
Packham added "We recognise that any degree of sponsorship is highly sought after these days and remain extremely grateful for TWM Solicitors ongoing support of the club.
"While our plans for the club's continued success are ambitious, we'd like to think that with the continued help and support of local businesses they remain very much achievable goals."
