Two talented ballerinas are pirouetting their way to the top after passing their ballet exams with flying colours.

Zoe Case-Green and Florence Jarrett-Wilkins, who are both students at the Reigate School of Ballet, passed their intermediate exams with high A grades.

As well as training at the school under the instruction of Joanne Evans, at St Mark's Church Hall, Alma Road, Reigate, both dancers have been accepted into prestigious ballet schools in London on Saturday mornings.

Zoe attends the Central School of Ballet, in Clerkenwell Road, London, and Florence attends the English National Ballet School, in Hortensia Road, London.

Flo, as she prefers to be called, was also selected to become an imperial scholar after impressing examiners in a recent competition. It allows her to receive free training from members of the Royal Ballet Company.

Miss Evans, who herself was taught at the Royal Ballet School, has had a long professional, performing career, appearing in major West End shows such as Cats before starting her teaching career more than 15 years ago.

Zoe, 15, and Flo, 14, are now working on their Advanced 1 which is an extremely high grade.

Miss Evans said: "I would hope that both girls go on to have professional dance careers or careers in the arts."

Miss Evans, who started ballet when she was just three, took over the reins at the school after the principles retired about 15 years ago.
