Richard Brady '100% sure' Leatherhead will stay up
NEW Leatherhead manager Richard Brady is "100 per cent sure" the club will stay up this season.
The former Sittingbourne boss was speaking after the Tanners made it through to the third qualifying round of the FA Cup with a 2-1 replay victory over Biggleswade Town on Tuesday night.

And Brady declared that the club were not in a "situation" and with more performances like the one he saw on Tuesday night, would make their way out of trouble.
He said: "We're not in a situation, we'll go out and win football matches. Every game we go out we'll go out to win and we've got a lot of games to go. I believe 100 per cent [we'll get out of trouble], we'll attack it with positivity and move on with endeavour and desire and we'll be OK.
"You work from the back, sort the defensive side out, the defensive shape as a team so you're difficult to play against and with players like Gary Drewett, Kev Terry, Greg Andrews and Tommy Hutchings you've always got a chance to score.
"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that if you keep it tight at the back you've got players who can score you goals."
Brady will be keeping the players he's got on their toes though, by admitting that he would bring in new additions if he felt they would improve the squad.
He added: "I said to the boys I'd give them a fair crack of the whip and we've got some good players here, but if the opportunity arises that I can improve the squad there's no doubt I'll do that. If I feel I can improve it I will."
Brady was disappointed to have conceded so soon after taking a two-goal lead against Biggleswade, which made the end of the match a tougher proposition, but getting through to the next round, where they will face Billericay Town, was the most important thing.
"There's two sides of the coin," Brady stated. "One side was that we wanted to get a win and anyway that's going to happen we'll take, but on the other side I said to the boys I thought it was disappointing we didn't go on from 2-0, keep the ball, pass our way out of trouble and go on and score three or four, but it's the FA Cup we're through to the next round, the boys haven't had too many wins and I'm sure they're delighted with it.
"It wasn't good on our part [letting in a goal so soon], but we battled on, worked hard and showed a different side. You learn a bit from your side in those situations. Were they up for the battle? They certainly answered those questions.
"That first win's on the table, that's always important, you get into good habits and it becomes easier. It's the psychology of a footballer, you can't have a confident footballer that loses every week, but we've got to get back to basics, start from the back and build that confidence through winning games, it's about the players taking our thoughts on board and implementing them and if they do we will win football matches."
Leatherhead travel to high-flying Bury Town this weekend in Brady's first league game in charge.
