Rivett nails ninth place
PAUL Rivett enjoyed his first competitive outing in P1 Aqua X during the first round of the new season on the coastal waters around Plymouth.
Piloting a Sea-Doo RXP-X, the long-time jetski enthusiast ended his first ever competitive outing on the waves ninth in the premier P1 Aqua X 300 Class.

"The race was completely relentless but I really enjoyed it," said Banstead-based Rivett afterwards. "I now want to go away and spend more time practising and improving my upper body strength, as that is the main difference compared to racing a Clio.
"I really want to thank Sea-Doo and P1 AquaX for giving me such a great opportunity to cross over two wildly contrasting forms of motorsport." Round two of the P1 Aqua X Championship, the only jetski championship in the UK contested on the open sea rather than at inland water parks, will take place in Hull, East Yorkshire, over the weekend of June 16-17.

Before then, the next AirAsia Renault UK Clio Cup action will come with rounds seven and eight of the season at Oulton Park Island Circuit in Cheshire on June 9-10.
Ahead of the fourth event of the Clio Cup campaign, Rivett is second in the championship with two wins and two other podiums from the first six races.
