Snow chaos to continue tomorrow
Disruptions and delays could continue tomorrow as snowy weather looks set to wreck havoc across the county.
Transport, roads and schools could incur further disruption tomorrow as operators brace themselves for more bad weather.
Parents have been warned schools could remain closed tomorrow if the wintry weather persists.
A spokesman from Surrey County Council said: “As soon as the schools make a decision on whether they are going to stay open or not it will go straight on our website.
“The majority are closed today and I would imagine if conditions remain the same tomorrow they will remain closed.
“Any parents who are concerned can contact their individual school or visit their website”
Roads have also been hit as motorists face packed snow and icy conditions overnight.
John Tadman, Mole Valley neighbourhood inspector, gave the following advice to residents. He said: “Don't travel unless you really have to.
”With the snow still coming down conditions could get worse so it would be best not to venture out in it unless necessary.
”I have not heard of any major incidents so far, so people seem to be being sensible and travelling slowly if they have gone out.”
Both Southern Railways and South West Trains suffered severe disruptions today.
Speaking this morning a spokeswoman for Southern Railway said: "There have been severe disruptions due to the snow and on the Epsom/ Dorking line of our services. Trains are running but are subject to severe disruption.”
There were no South West Trains service on the London Waterloo to Guildford via Epsom and Leatherhead route and there were two trains an hour on the London Waterloo to Dorking and London Waterloo to Guildford via Cobham routes.

“Although good to see some sunshine around midday today (Thurs 7th) - don't be deceived. The roads are still icy - even the A3 Esher-by-pass closed & pavements treacherous ... beware!”
