South Park enjoy purple patch
South Park have been in rampant mood with 12 goals in two cup games.
The Combined Counties League outfit were 5-0 winners over Coulsdon United in the EL Records Premier Challenge Cup, first round on Saturday.
And last week they hammered seven past Crescent Rovers, without reply, in the Lemon Recordings Division One Challenge Cup.
Against Rovers they took only 10 minutes to nose their way in front, O'Sullivan and Burgess setting Smith up for the first.
On 65 minutes, a well-taken corner from Smith was powerfully headed home by Lavery and this second goal opened the floodgates for Park.
The third came courtesy of some delightful play by Burgess whose skilful footwork bamboozled the Crescent defence, his fine pass to Smith was clinically finished.
With 15 minutes left Mottram and Parker came on for Burgess and Jones, Parker wasting no time latching on to a pass from O'Sullivan; his cross being swept home by Smith for his third of the night. Parker was provider again, this time Mottram to convert.
Two more were to follow both goals coming courtesy of some pin point kicking from keeper Polley who firstly picked out Smith who converted with a one-touch lob over the statuesque keeper.
Two minutes later Lavery who again fired home from inside the box.
Park kept to the same side on Saturday, taking just seven minutes for Lavery to convert a Stone free-kick.
Stone was the provider for the second, passing to Smith who found Burgess to slot home into an unguarded net.
The second half saw a Smith effort blocked, but Jones made sure pouncing on the rebound and firing home from close range.
Parker, on for Smith, ran alf the length of the pitch turning defenders inside out and making it 4-0 after 70 minutes.
O'Sullivan was red carded after an altercation with the referee.
Lavery wrapped things up with a neat through ball from Parker which he controlled and rounded the keeper.
