Inspector Richard Joyce said: "Mrs Miklas was reported missing just after 6pm this evening (Thursday).

"She was last seen at midnight yesterday by a friend, who described her as being very emotional.

"Her medical history also makes her extremely vulnerable, and we are appealing to anyone with any information about where she might be to come forward as a matter of urgency."

He added: "We know that Mrs Miklas likes to go to the

River Wey at the bottom of Guildford High Street.

"She also likes walking around the lakes on Great Bookham Common and we are carrying out extensive searches of both these areas.

"We also know that she does not have access to a vehicle."

Anyone with information about Mrs Miklas' whereabouts is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident number P12139495.
