THE FIRST TIME I'VE SEEN SNOW AND I'M NOT IMPRESSED
My name is Emily and this is my first experience of snow. My Grandad understands exactly what I'm saying although Mummy and Daddy just think I make gurgling noises. Grandad says he writes in this newspaper sometimes as Stephen Mole so I'll take his word for it as I can't read yet. He says he can write something for me.
Mummy got really excited when this white stuff kept falling, taking me to the window all the time but all I thought was "so what?" It just looks cold and wet to me and I'd rather stay warm, thank you, yet she still wanted to take me outside.

Emily aged 7 months - not amused by the snow but with attitude!
Daddy doesn't like the snow as it stopped him playing football, then Grandad moans because he can't play golf, then there's this man on the TV saying some things called planes can't take off even when it's not snowing but might! Daddy's friend has gone skiing in the snow a long way away in an expensive place but now can't get home because there's no planes and I thought "why didn't he stay at home and save himself the bother as it's snowy here?"
Daddy moaned about the roads. He's got a really fast sporty car but its wheels just go round and round when it's snowy and the car stays where it is so he doesn't go out. Grandad also moans because these lorries called gritters put salty stuff on the main roads but he, like Daddy, can't get his car to those roads that have been cleared. I also hear that some people had to stay all night in their cars on a road called the M25 . Why did they go out in the first place?
Grandad tells me he's been onto Surrey County Council since before I was born about dirty road signs all over the place. They said they would clean them but they haven't so now Grandad says they'll get worse with all this snowy stuff and something called slush that I've not seen before. He says this Council person gets money from him to clean them but they spend it on themselves instead.
Anyway on Sunday Mummy thought I'd like to go out in the garden with this daft hat and outfit - I bet she did this just so I could wear this special suit she'd bought or had given to her. "Mummy, I don't like the colour it doesn't go with my eyes, so not again please!" As you can see from my picture I was not amused. I saw this Posh Spice woman pouting like that in a newspaper and she's famous and got lots of money so I thought I would copy her, I asked for some big sunglasses to wear but Mummy did not understand.
I would rather not have gone out in the cold and stayed indoors watching the Chelsea game.
Mummy took this picture and put it on this Facebook thing so all her friends could see it - not my best picture you would have to admit and all done without my permission. Only Grandad listens.
I hope this snow thing only comes round once in a while as everything clogs up - the roads, the planes, the trains, Daddy's car ..everything! Mummy says that in some countries it's snowy for months, what do they do, stay in all the time and go nowhere. I'll have to look into this when I'm a bit older.
