PRESENTERS from hit BBC show Top Gear visited a local shop at the weekend.

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May were filming part of the programme in Surrey on Saturday, and they popped into camping shop Trek Hire UK in Shere.

The store's director, Mick Cain, said: "They roared into the village in their amazing cars and the weather was awful. They all arrived soaking wet after driving a distance in pouring rain.

"They were here to film inside the shop, getting into warm, waterproof gear to carry on the last leg of their journey back to Dunsfold. It was great to have them in the village and it created quite a stir."

Footage of the visit is expected to be screened next month.
