Proving who's boss: Josh White
And at the weekend lifted the Chipstead club title with a record breaking score of 129 for two rounds, giving him his second title in eight days.
Played at West Hill and Worplesdon, 128 competitors in the amateur championship played both courses in a 36 hole medal with the top 16 players qualifying for the knockout stages which were played over the West Hill course.
In the final between White (Chipstead) and Tom Richardson (Walton Heath) both played many excellent shots, but some outstanding long putting from White resulted in victory on the 16th green, with the help of three birdie twos along the way.
White had beaten Nick Flynn (Burhill) in a very close semi final, coming back from three down by the 11th to win on the 18th.
White said: "I am thrilled to have won and would like to especially thank my parents Louise and Trevor, who have given me so much encouragement and support."
He also acknowledged the work of Chipstead professional Gary Torbett and fitness experts John Field and Dan Oliver at Field of Fitness in Guildford.
"I appreciate the time and effort they have put in which has helped me win the championship," he added.
In smashing the Chipstead course 103-year-old record, White produced scores of 66-63 for a 36 hole total of seven under par.
White, who at one point during the second round had the club's course record in his sights, unfortunately had his hopes dashed by driving out of bounds on the 14th hole. Runner-up David Trumper who produced scores of 67-69 for a level par total, has also been in fine form and has seen his handicap move from five to three this season.
Kevin McQuigan who is a member at Chipstead, shot 128 to win the Handicap Champions' Shield.
Other players in the honours included Alan Byatt who won the over 40s section that included a remarkable eagle on the tricky 10th, when he put his second shot in the hole on the 306 yard par four. Steve O'Brien also impressed with a net score of 58 in the second round to finish runner-up in the Handicap Shield.
