DESPITE overpowering their opponents entirely in the first half, it just took a single goal by Chris Hubbard 10 minutes from time to seal the points for the Lobsters.

And manager Marcus Alcindor was pleased with his team's performance.

"Tuesday night saw Redhill return to the form of earlier in the season, although the scoreline does not tell the full story. Scott [Ellis], Nigel [Abbott] and myself were absolutely delighted with the performances and attitudes of all of the players on and off of the pitch. We were passing fluently and attacking the opposition constantly," he said.

"Hubbard's goal was a 32-yard screamer from half-way down the middle of the pitch. Later John Difford got a header disallowed; it was never offside."

Josh Bonnet had the first Redhill attack as he chased down a ball but was well tackled.

Kyle Morgan put in a tremendous effort to latch onto a ball down the right, he crossed it over for Bonnet, who's shot was saved.

Anthony Hibbert attempted to lob Chris May, but the keeper had his angles right and collected the ball comfortably after it bounced off the crossbar.

John Difford produced another one of his pin point passes to find Asher Hudson on the right whose cross was put out for a corner.

Marcus Elliott found himself in on goal and one on one with Joel Harding, but his early shot spun wide.

Redhill continued to pile on the pressure; Morgan hit a brilliant shot that was well saved, with Elliott pouncing on the rebound that flew only yards wide.

Before the half was out, Tyron Sealey had an effort saved that he will be kicking himself for, and Hudson had a shot go over.

Hassocks came out better after the break, with an early chance falling to Phil Gault, but the eventual shot went wide.

Keeper May stood up well to save Nathen Miles' close range drive, but soon Redhill were attacking again. Calvin Headley blazed over following a good run into the box.

Harding had little to do as on too many occasions, there was nobody on the end of the crosses.

A nice move then came out of Elliott's header out wide to Sealey, who then burst down the left wing, cutting inside and seeing his shot well saved. He then had the rebound blocked by a defender.

Further efforts came from Leon Dussard and Elliott.

A rare Difford slip then let Hassocks in on goal, but in true Difford fashion, he made up for it, getting back to win the ball and clearing his lines.

Difford was called upon minutes later and put in a great tackle on Miles, with Charlie Stagg then showing composure to head back to May under pressure.

The creative Sealey the found Hudson on the right, whose cross found the head of Elliott, with Harding making a save to deny the hard working striker.

Difford then had a goal disallowed from a Bonnet free-kick. The defender was judged to be offside when he headed home.

Redhill finally took the lead on 80 minutes when substitute Hubbard picked up a clearance and smashed the ball sweetly into the net. With only minutes remaining Headley hit a free-kick only inches wide.

Redhill: May, Hudson, Headley, Difford, Stagg, Morgan (Radford), Sealey (Ditchburn), Ofusuhene, Elliott, Bonnet, Dussard (Hubbard).

Unused subs: Kyezu, Nicholas.
