'Vase a stage for my young Reds'
DEAN Forbes wants his Redhill side to have a decent run in the FA Vase if only because he believes it will boost their league form.
The Lobsters host Shoreham in the second round on Saturday, in what the club is billing as the biggest game since they faced Dover Athletic in the FA Cup two years ago.

Confident: Redhill manager Dean Forbes
Forbes, who has more time to concentrate on football after selling his IT business, said: "You get league points from winning cup games, because you are confident.
"The Vase is a stage for the boys. It's important to the club and I'm told the biggest game for a long time.
"But I'm a football man and I would be really pleased for the boys to have another three games in the competition.
"If they can win two more game there will be people coming to see what this team is all about.
"One or two might get into Conference clubs. I want the team to do well. I really want to go up if we can but if we can help one or two youngsters along their path that's just as important."
Appointed in June to his first managerial position, the former Northampton and Gravesend player said: "I got my chance - I want to see them get theirs."
With an eye on promotion, he stated that the league is the priority.
However, he added that he believes Redhill can beat Shoreham, leaders of Redhill's Sussex Division One, who defeated them a few weeks ago.
Forbes, who was away in America, said: "When we lost 3-0 the reports I got back said we played well enough and we will be confident."
Encouraging the town to turn out for the game, he added: "Anything could happen but I know we're going to play decent football.
"People who have been here a long time have told me it's the best footballing side here in a long time.
"It's almost guaranteed they will play decent football.
"This club has been here supporting the community for a long time and it would be good for the community to support the club."
Forbes, who started his career in Crystal Palace's reserves, aims to dedicate more time to the Lobsters.
And his old friends in the game allow him access to places such as Old Trafford and Arsenal as the A licensed coach works towards his pro-licence.
Redhill will be without suspended Chris Hubbard but hopes to have Mark McGibbons back from injury.
Victory in the last 64 match is worth £1,200.
