Update: Two car crash kills woman in Lowfield Heath
A two car collision has killed one woman in Lowfield Heath this morning.
Emergency services are still at the scene and Charlwood Road, Lowfield Heath, remains closed.
Horley Fire Service was called to the scene at 7.22 this morning (Tuesday) to a two car crash between a Land Rover Discovery and a Toyota Yaris.
A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire Service said: "Two vehicles were involved in the incident and one female was confirmed deceased at the scene."
A spokesman for West Sussex Police said the crash happened "outside the BCP car park".
He added: "Both vehicles went into a ditch. They needed recovery vehicles to get them out.
"The road is still closed."
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “Paramedics were called to Charlwood Road at 7.18am this morning (March 31) to a fatal road traffic collision.
"One woman was pronounced dead on the scene. Two further people were taken to East Surrey Hospital, including a 28-year-old man suffering from chest and back injuries.”
