Corinthian Casuals 4

STUART Massey rewarded the loyalty of his fringe players last Wednesday, but the decision backfired as Whyteleafe lost heavily.

Portuguese triallist Nicanoro Da Silva started on the left of midfield while Sayce Holmes-Lewis began at centre-back, his third start since signing from Chipstead. Leon Worley was given another chance to improve his fitness at left-back.

Ex-Leafe striker Carlton Murray-Price scored on five minutes, swivelling then rifling in.

The hosts levelled when Worley took his time before finding Danny Oakins in space 30 yards out and he lifted the ball behind the defence for Daniel Platel to run onto and smash home.

In the last 15 minutes of the half, Glenn Boosey shook off two defenders to score and then beat Graham Dilley again after another Murray-Price pass.

Whyteleafe players appealed vociferously for offside for the latter and the last left them appealing again, but Jamal Carr's srike was allowed to stand.

Whyteleafe: Dilley, Da Silva (Aldous), Worley, Holmes-Lewis (Fleming), Coleman, Conroy, McCann, Smith (Hammond), Platel, Oakins, O'Flaherty.
